Lindsey Tramuta and Priya Parker: Power, Place, and the Evolving Parisienne

Join us on September 9 for a compelling conversation with acclaimed writer, podcaster, and travel journalist Lindsey Tramuta and best-selling author and renowned facilitator Priya Parker, as part of Villa Albertine’s Literary Fall.
During the discussion, Tramuta will delve into two of her essential works—The Eater Guide to Paris (2025) and The New Parisienne (2020).
Lindsey Tramuta is a journalist and author based in Paris, where she has lived since 2006. She reports on culture, travel, and business for prestigious international outlets such as The New York Times, Eater, Condé Nast Traveler, and Bloomberg.
Her acclaimed book The New Parisienne: The Women & Ideas Shaping Paris (Abrams, 2020) deconstructs the myth of the “Parisian woman” and interviews more than forty influential figures across various fields. The work features award-winning novelist Leïla Slimani, activist Rokhaya Diallo, Rabbi Delphine Horvilleur, Olympic-medalist boxer Sarah Ourahmoune, OB-GYN Dr. Ghada Hatem-Gantzer, aeronautical engineer Delphine Dijoud, and disability-rights lawyer Elisa Rojas.
Her latest work, The Eater Guide to Paris (Abrams, 2025), is an essential resource on Paris’s rich food culture and culinary scene. Exploring how immigration, history, agriculture, and tradition have shaped the city’s food culture, Tramuta offers a nuanced and original look at the people and places who have made Paris such a unique city.
Priya Parker is a renowned advisor and facilitator, as well as the acclaimed author of The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why It Matters (Penguin, 2020) and host of the New York Times podcast Together Apart. With two decades of experience in conflict resolution, Parker helps leaders and communities navigate complex questions of identity, belonging, and transformation.
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear the two women discuss the intersections of Parisian life, culture, and feminism, revealing a side of the city that people rarely get to see.
