An Evening with Yann Coatanlem and Ezra Suleiman

Join us for a conversation between Yann Coatanlem, President of Club Praxis think tank, and Ezra Suleiman, IBM Professor of International Studies, Professor of Politics, and Director of the Program in European Politics and Society at Princeton University. The speakers will discuss Coatanlem’s book, Le gouvernement des citoyens : De l’Etat pyramidal à la décision collective (recipient of Le Prix spécial de L’Académie des Sciences morales et politiques) as well as open government, collective intelligence, and the degree to which people should self-govern or be governed by the state.

Yann Coatanlem is President of Club Praxis, a French-American think tank that promotes open government, collective intelligence and collective decision. Yann is the Chairman of the Maison Française of New York University, the Vice-President of the American Foundation for the Paris School of Economics, and also sits on the boards of the European-American Chamber of Commerce, French Heritage Society, and Droit & Croissance. He is slated to receive the Médaille d’Or de la Renaissance Française in November 2018.

Ezra Suleiman is the IBM Professor of International Studies, Professor of Politics, and Director of the Program in European Politics and Society at Princeton University. He received his B.A. degree from Harvard, and later continued his graduate work at the Universities of London and Paris, receiving his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University.
