Albertine Book Club on Jean Genet’s The Thief’s Journal

In May the Albertine Book Club will discuss A Thief’s Journal by Jean Genet, translated by Bernard Freschman and published by Grove Press.

A sensuous and philosophical reverie on freedom within confinement, the heroism of the outlaw, and deception as the ultimate act of devotion, The Thief’s Journal exemplifies the exquisitely lyrical combination of fact and fiction that made Genet a major figure in world literature.

Albertine Members will receive a Zoom invitation to join this book club session via email.

The Albertine Book Club is open to Albertine Constellation members ONLY. For more information on how to become an Albertine member, click here.
