This event is now sold out and no entry will be granted without an RSVP.

Library Science – a book club project by KAIA GERBER and ALYSSA REEDER – officially launched in March of 2024. This project aims to highlight books that aren’t on the typical bestseller lists in order to better support debut writers, translations, new voices, and overlooked / underrepresented stories.

The NYRB Classics series is dedicated to publishing an eclectic mix of fiction and nonfiction from different eras and times and of various sorts. Literature in translation constitutes a major part of the NYRB Classics series, simply because so much great literature has been left untranslated into English, or translated poorly, or deserves to be translated again, much as any outstanding book asks to be read again.
