COVID-19 Update: Online Shop Open; Closed to Browsing

Dear friends,

Like many indie bookstores and small businesses nationwide, we are striving to do what’s best for our communities––our customers, our neighbors, our staff, the authors and publishers we work with––which means balancing a lot of factors and making hard decisions.

We have decided to close our browsing business beginning on Wednesday, March 18, and reopen when it is completely safe to do so.

You can place your orders online through shop.albertine.com, where we have waived the $50 minimum as a courtesy.

Our monthly book club will be continuing via Zoom, beginning on April 7 at 6:30PM with a lively conversation on Lie with Me: A Novel by Philippe Besson, translated from the French by Molly Ringwald (Scribner). The discussion will be moderated by Albertine member Dennis Bogusz. To become a member and join us, click here.

We would love to keep in touch with you and support you during these difficult times, and encourage you to write to us. If you feel so inspired, send us a photo of you reading Albertine books at home. We’d absolutely love to see and to create a little #AlbertineatHome Instagram Story, for a light distraction!

Stay safe, and keep reading,
Adam, Clara, Miriam, Sandrine, and Wanda
